Thank you for volunteering with Special Needs VBS! We have many opportunities for you to serve.
Young Buddies (serving with a family member):
Children 10-13 years old who are interested in serving alongside their parent.
**Requirements:** Must remain with their family member & assigned team at all times.
Buddies:
Buddies will remain with their assigned team of participants. Teams will be divided by age, and you can indicate your preferred age group(s) on your registration.
**Requirements:** Must be at least 14 years old, or working with a family member.
Registration Team:
Registration team members are asked to serve from 5:15 PM to 8:15 PM each night.
1. The registration team will take on various roles. You will be the first point of contact for participants and their families, greeting them, directing them, and assisting with check-in.
2. Afterwards, you will serve as a floater, helping wherever needed—whether that involves managing snacks, overseeing the front desk, supporting a specific team or area, running errands, or performing other tasks. 3. At the end of the night, you will assist with participant pickup.
**Requirements:** Must be 18 years or older.
Rotation Leaders and Helpers:
Leaders oversee all activities in their rotation area (Craft, Fishing, Sports, Music, Recreation). Rotation helpers assist leaders with setup/cleanup and assist VBS participants in the rotation.
**Requirements:** Must be 16 years or older; or working with a family member.
Security & Medical Teams:
Leaders oversee security, administer medications, and handle medical emergencies. Younger children are not permitted to work in this position.
**Requirements:** Must be 18 years or older.
Snack Team:
Leaders oversee handing out snacks to each team every day. You cannot have a younger child working with you in this position.
**Requirements:** Must be 16 years or older; or working with a family member.
Floater/Sub:
Floaters will step in to fill roles when a volunteer is absent, such as when a leader is out sick. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who want to volunteer but are only available a few days a week.
**Requirements:** Must be 16 years or older; or working with a family member
All Volunteers 18 years+:
Must complete a background check and Ministry Safe Training. You will receive a separate email with information on how to complete them online.
